As you can see from our breakfast menu below, we don't like to leave our guests hungry...
Come down to the dining room at a time that suits you, and enjoy a quality pot of tea or filter coffee, while you tuck in to toast with butter and preserves, fresh fruit, yoghurt, scrambled eggs on toast, baked beans, and porridge (served with walnuts and Canadian maple syrup, and made with fresh cow's milk or oat milk, as you prefer) — and usually a freshly-baked treat as well. And of course a glass of Suffolk apple juice from our friends at Moat Farm in Kenton. Healthy, delicious, nutritious, and 100% vegetarian.
Here in the Waveney marshes, we're very much in dairy country — much of the land is unsuitable for cultivation as it is under water for half the year... We even have dairy cows grazing on our own meadows beyond the back garden. So if you eat dairy products, you'll be very much "in tune" with the landscape. When it comes to dinner-time, vegetarians are in for a treat, as we offer our "Danegelts Classic" home-baked macaroni cheese: tender spirali and fusilli cooked in a rich, creamy cheese sauce, finished with a crispy golden crust & thin-sliced grilled tomatoes, and served with a selection of fresh vegetables. 100% vegetarian and 100% delicious. (So good that even non-vegetarians love it.)
To follow, we'll serve a light dessert accompanied by fresh fruit, and tea or coffee to wrap up your evening.
