Start with the Norfolk Lights Express — a unique, illuminated winter journey.

Arrive at Sheringham Station after dark to board a steam-hauled train covered in thousands of lights. As the train travels through Norfolk from Sheringham to Holt (and back again), on-board lighting projects amazing changing colors onto the passing countryside.

Colorful light installations are set along the lineside, many dramatically positioned in the adjoining woods. These displays, accompanied by narration and music, highlight the railway's 50-year history since its reopening by volunteers in 1975.

There is a short stop at Holt, where you can take photos — or visit the on-board bar. 

Then, after the return journey and a second look at the lineside displays, come and stay with us at Danegelts B&B down here Geldeston in south Norfolk, you'll be assured of a warm and cost welcome. There is so much to see and do here in the Norfolk Broads, not to mention exploring the glorious Suffolk Heritage Coast just a few miles down the road.
