Fancy trying your legs one of England's newest Parkruns? The new Beccles Parkrun kicked off in October 2025, and it's already making a splash locally, regularly attracting over 200 runners.
If you're travelling to the Beccles Parkrun and need a place to stay, Danegelts B&B is perfectly placed, just down the road in Geldeston.
If you're coming to run, mention "Beccles Parkrun" when you book, and we'll give you a 10% runner's discount. (We're Parkrunners too, we know you'd like to treat yourself to an extra post-run doughnut 🍩... Or at least, that's what we would do 🙂.)
After 20...? or 30...? or 40...? minutes vigorous exercise at 9am on the Saturday morning... why not make a weekend of it? We're perfectly placed for a relaxing day or two of post-Parkrun wind-down.
Stroll along the riverbank, watch the owls patrol over the meadows, or just put your feet up with a good book in the garden (if the sun is shining) or in our library (if not). And then perhaps head down to the Locks Inn in the evening for food, drink and music.
As well as Beccles, Bungay is just down the road from us, with its eclectic collection of independent shops and cafes.
You probably already know that Parkrun is a fun, free, non-competitive (unless you want to be...) timed run that's open to everyone, every Saturday morning at 9am.
The start-line for the Beccles Parkrun is at Beccles Quay, Fen Lane, Beccles, NR34 9BH.
It's a gloriously flat course, so if your home Parkrun is a bit up-and-downy, here's an opportunity to chase a PB... or just to enjoy an easier run along the beautiful River Waveney.
Remember — B is for Beccles!
